Life is Sweet

Even after being up most of the night with BOTH kids, the stress you get from just camping alone, and the "normal" stress of dealing with the mass confusion and comments at a public place. Life is Sweet today (well at least this morning). Dan and the kids treated me to a couple hours at THE SPA in Hershey Hotel. I had an uninterrupted 2 hours of rest and relaxation. I can't believe it!! First I had a Whipped Cocoa Bath and then a Cocoa massage, WOW! I think I found Heaven in Hershey! It was the highlight of mommy times ever. Not only did I get the FULL service pampering but now I smell like chocolate.
Avrianna learned a valuable lesson yesterday....if your going to ride your bike in the mud puddles your going to get dirty!! It rained of and on yesterday and today so there are enough of them for her to enjoy.
Danny was up since 5 am gasping for air....the Bipap fell out of his nose and was blowing in his face. ARGH! So he didn't fall back asleep till now it's 2:30 in the afternoon. Oh well at least he can lounge around too. I do get the looks though as he is outside in his lounge chair (thanks Nanny and Aunt Bonnie)with his pulse ox on and Oxygen on his face. I am very interested in what his ENT in Milwaukee has to say about his airway issues on Tuesday.
We leave the camp grounds tomorrow and will probably spend our day at Dutch Wonderworld which is an amusement park for kids 12 and under. Then not too sure where we are going to end up for the next three days so not sure if I will have excess to the computer after tomorrow. I will post if and when I can. Hope you enjoyed our pictures of our vacation. Take care

She's a Reese's

For those of you that haven't been to Hershey Park they rate the kiddos by candy bars. Avrianna is a Reese's so that means she can go on just about 80% of the rides at the park. We took the shuttle to the park today from our campgrounds and they were wonderful with accommodating the wheelchair. They had a special shuttle come and pick us up that has a lift and then gave me the direct phone # to the supervisor so when we were ready to leave I just had to call her and they made sure the right shuttle was available to us. I highly recommend coming to Hershey it is wonderful. Not much for Danny to ride on, but they didn't charge us for him either. To get back to the Reese's thing. Well we worked our way up the ladder of risk throughout the day. They rate their rides from 1-5 one being a kiddie ride and 5 was the new ride called the Farenheit....it was NUTS (I wasn't brave enough for that). Well Avrianna did so well with the rides I decided to take her on the Comet which was rated 4 good thing it was the last ride as she freaked out!!!!! It has two drops, you know the ones that throw your stomach in your throat in 1 second, right away in the begining and that is all it took tears the rest of the ride. She did love the log drop though so thought this one was going to be a breeze, NOT. Well maybe next time we come she'll try it again. Or maybe NOT! Oh to be young again, I haven't been on a roller coaster in YEARS! Loved it though. Well just wanted to let you all know we are having a great time. Take care!

Made it!

Greetings from Hershey,PA. The trip took longer then anticipated, but we did well. Danny slept pretty the WHOLE way, he loves the camper. I was nervous as he was destating ALOT even with the bipap on (he's not proving a good case for ENT for next Tuesday regarding the trach, argh)and due to his major sleepy state he didn't pee so I needed to cath him. Yeap he is through out all the cards for me, never a dull moment. Avrianna managed to keep herself busy playing games, watching movies, and yes she even took a nap. I know I couldn't believe it myself. I drove the camper for about 5 hours and it really wasn't too bad even with us pulling the mini van behind, watch out I'll be going for my CDL soon, NOT! Once at the camp site we were very busy putting things together and getting ready for our home away from home for the next week. The place here is gorgeous and everyone is so accommodating for Danny. They are very nice here! We went to Chocolate World and the Museum today which was a very good choice as it rained off and on most of the day. There is SO MUCH stuff to do around here I'm not sure we are going to get it all done in a week. So far Danny has been a good boy since the earlier issues he has been alert, smiling, peeing, and a good boy. I will post again later! Take care.

Hershey PA

Well Hershey here we come. I think we are ready. I have brought just about everything that is in Danny room so if the need is there I have the equipment to deal with it. Avrianna is very excited to see chocolate world. Dan is planning on racing and when he is finished we will load up in the camper and take off. I'm sure we will stop somewhere along the way to catch a few zzzzzzzz. It's only 12 hours to get there so it's not as bad as our Florida trips. I am plannnig on bringing the computer so if the campsite has WIFI is can still stay up to date with all the CB children I follow and I can up date you all with what we are up to.

Danny is doing well and I hope he continues when we are gone. I have an appt with ENT on the 19th to discuss options to help with Danny's breathing. Then on the 20th back in to see the Neuro to see what we can do with the baclofen pump. The xrays from his spine did show the cathater did slide alittle but the pump moved significantly. The Ortho doc couldn't even get a good picture of Danny's right hip as the puck was positioned right over it. So much for it being in his belly!! ARGH. I'm sure that causes some discomfort to him and maybe that is why he will get very aggitated lately.

I will try and update soon! Take care
