I would like to THANK the amazing Tim Tebow Foundation and a local church, Pathways Church, for hosting The Night To Shine Prom. I never in my wildest dreams thought Danny would be going to a Prom BUT thanks to Tim, the Church and countless volunteers my son had the most memorable evening. What a roller coaster of emotions for this Momma ~ It was AMAZING!!
Danny was a gentleman and asked his date to accompany him to Prom with a Promposal, guess that's a thing now with the kids these days.

The BIG day preparations!
First time wearing a real tie so Dad had to tie it just right.
I had a photographer come to the house and take some shots of the kids all dressed up ~ SO STUNNING! Boy do I LOVE these two

FINALLY we have eyeballs!! When the photographer came Danny was still feeling the effects of his meds that he got in the afternoon. Thankfully towards the end his eyes popped open!

Once there at the Prom each attendee got a Crown/Tiara, corsage/boutonniere (if they didn't have one already) and then there were stations to have hair n make up done along with a shoe shining station for the guys.
Off to the Red carpet ~ which I snuck in the side door to watch as once we got in the door to the building they really pushed the parents/caregivers to go to their own space. I really didn't like that as I wanted to see one of the biggest days of his life. PLUS it was a good thing that Av went with as I wouldn't have felt comfortable with handing him over to stranger with no knowledge of him or his cares.

They had a buffet of yummy food, but the difficult part was the buffet tables were on an incline so pushing Danny in a chair with heels and formal dress uphill wasn't the easiest. She sent me a text and I came up from the caregiver room and I sat with Danny while Av got some food.

It was awesome that Raymond's mom Sarah came so I had someone to talk with and work me through all the crazy emotions that I/we were going through.

At the Prom they also had a Karaoke room, craft room, sensory room for those that needed a quiet place, and a bus Limo for the attendees to get a ride in (it wasn't wheelchair accessible). Those rooms Danny couldn't really participate in, but he had the time of his life anyways listening, watching and dancing the night away

What a wild evening! Definitely one for the books!
He partied hard and had a blast! Danny slept ALL night long that evening which is something he typically never does.....so I'm going to assume he enjoyed his time at Night To Shine!
