Will She DO IT AGAIN?

It's State week !!  So exciting on so MANY LEVELS! Av has had an absolutely amazing Junior Dive Season with being undefeated, awarded FVA Conference Diver of the year, WIAA Sectional Champion, broke the Neenah High School Pool 6 dive record, and she has an awesome PR to boot.  I'm SO PROUD of her accomplishments, hard work, and attitude.  This Saturday she will be entering the State Diving Competition in Madison WI to compete for her third state title.

Well it's official ~ Av had her Sweet 16 and PASSED her drivers test.  

 How awesome for her to have more independence BUT what a new worry for mom, sigh.

 Danny's costume couldn't have been more appropriate this year.... A SLOTH!  He was adorable but the attitude fit the outfit for sure.  HAHA  The weather was nice this year and I had hoped to get him out in about around the neighborhood BUT some sloth didn't want to keep his temps up and the wind started to pick up so ....handing out Candy was what was in store for this sleeping sloth

Dan and the Manager are wrapping up the training, the signs have gone on the building, and it's almost time to open the doors to the public.   Stay tuned for the date on the Opening.  Blimpie is on Jackson St in Oshkosh WI located in our retail building next door to our laundry .... stop on by we are hiring!!

Danny and I have been pretty stable ..... UNTIL .......

about 1.5 weeks ago I had noticed my legs were getting numb.  I started another round of 5 days IV steroids which ended on Monday.  Unfortunately I haven't seen much of an improvement and really have continued to decline more with weakness, I fell twice (at the pool during the sectional meet), and the extreme fatigue is ridiculous!  I typically can't sit still and the last 2 days It's taking everything I have to just get off the couch.  MS SUX!  Out of no where and OUT OF MY CONTROL!!  Time will tell if this round of meds will help or if I will have to step it up an notch and possible start plasmapherisis.  Stay tuned!

Danny decided to that I didn't have enough "excitement" in my life at the moment so around 3am he had me up with tons of secretions, high heart rate, and wretching.  UGH!!  SO incredibly thankful I have a spectacular team of nurses to help me out right now and I don't know how I would be able to do it....physically or emotionally!  

Last nite Danny was able to enjoy some Hot tub time.....it's nice to enjoy when the weather is cold n rainy out.  The temps are continuing to drop as the HIGH for the next few days is only going to be 29-31 ~ UM,  SAY WHAT?!?

End of Summer Recap

I'm starting to think we are going to need to build an Ark.....SO MUCH RAIN!!  Thankfully our sump pumps have been able to keep up as the high water table and flooding in the area has a lot of people on guard.  Our once empty retention ponds are back to being FULL!  On a positive side my new landscaping is getting watered well.  I LOVE the new plants, trees, and bushes around the yard.  I just makes me smile to see more flowers and new things in the yard.  The guys worked four full days n some pretty hot n humid weather but despite the temps they did a great job ~ Thanks to Tom and his crew at Landscapes Unlimited

 
 
 
 

It's official we have JUNIOR in the house!!  Only Two more years......seriously can we hit pause as time is flying by WAY TOO FAST!

Due to the wet weather and having to cancel and reschedule Danny's swim party we ended up having a smaller group this year.....BUT it was a fun time regardless!!

Since the IV rescue meds for the MS relapse I had I have bounced back and I'm doing well.  Let's hope this is the last relapse for a LONG while.  I have gone to my Neurologist and unfortunately I am still not eligible to be on any disease modifying drug due to my past diagnosis of melanoma when on MS meds.  We do have a better game plan in the event I have another relapse with the usual of IV steroids and if it doesn't seem to be helping my system snap out of it within 10 days then they want me to go the route of Plasmapherisis, which is a plasma exchange to "clean" my system out quicker.  Let's just hope I don't have to go down that route anytime in the near future.

Danny has been has been doing well since his last Neuro scares last month.  We've been to see his Neurologist also and have tweaked some if his meds which seems to have worked, cross your fingers it stays that way.  This month is stack with New Doctors for Danny as next week we are going to his new patient visits with a Pulmonologist and ENT located in Green Bay through Prevea.  I'm pretty excited to meet with them and see if Danny is someone they can handle.  The 35 minute drive to Green Bay is going to be WONDERFUL compared to a 1.25 hr (if the weather and traffic isn't bad) to Milwaukee.  Time will tell when Danny has to have his first admit with their hospital if they really can handle him....... and ME.  At the end of the month we will be seeing a new Pediatrician....she is located in the building right next to the old one so not much of a difference in drive there, BUT it will be nice that their "system" will work better with the other physicians as the old one is pretty much a league of their own and it was hard to share their info on Danny with the others on the team.  I've been pretty optimist with this new Ped as we haven't even seen her yet and the amount of info she is requesting (so she can be in the know with ALL OF Danny) is making me alil giddy to be honest.  I'm hoping we found another doctor that wants to be ALL IN with helping me maintain Danny's care at home.  Lets hope this continues and the move is a good one.
